Enrollment for 2026-2027 school year now open

Enrollment for 2026-2027 school year now open

Online enrollment is now open for the 2026-2027 school year, and families of returning students can re-enroll their children for the upcoming year in a matter of minutes.

Enrollment is now open for all children – pre-kindergarten and up – whether they are currently enrolled, returning to the district after leaving or brand new to Northwest ISD. For families of currently enrolled students returning next year, the process will take just a few minutes with the following quick, three-step process:

  1. Log into Home Access Center and select the student to register near the top right corner of the page
  2. Select the “registration” icon at the top of the page and then click the “Update Enrollment” tab
  3. Click the word “Start” to access your child’s enrollment form, which will be pre-filled based on previously provided information

Families can provide proof of residency, which is required annually for all students, with any of the following documents:

  • Utility bill, preferred (electric, gas, water)
  • A current lease (for 30 days, then a utility bill 30 days after beginning lease)
  • Closing papers (within 30 days, then a utility bill 30 days after closing)

For families of new students, required documents can be prepared in advance. For returning students, only proof of residency is required annually, unless immunizations have been updated or other changes noted have occurred.

Students who live outside of Northwest ISD will have the opportunity to join the district through consideration of a limited open enrollment transfer. Families of students who live outside of Northwest ISD can apply for enrollment consideration at www.nisdtx.org/openenroll through August 12.

Northwest ISD strongly encourages families of returning students – or families who know they will join the district – to enroll their children for the upcoming school year before the current school year concludes. This helps the district best prepare campus staffing and prevent class changes after the school year has begun.
