This message was sent to parents and guardians of students on the teams noted below.

You’re receiving this message as a parent/caregiver of a Byron Nelson High School Boys basketball player. The freshman and JV teams were scheduled to play at Grapevine High School; however, Grapevine High School entered a lockdown prior to the BNHS teams departing the bus to enter the campus.

One team, the freshman boys A-team, was safely on the bus as the school was in lockdown, while the remaining two teams, the freshman B team and JV team, had not yet departed BNHS.

The lockdown has now been lifted, and the teams will now play games as police have investigated and cleared them to enter the campus around 3:45 p.m.

For information about the lockdown, please view Grapevine-Colleyville ISD’s alert website at www.gcisd.net/alert.  Information about game reschedules is being sent via NISD’s Rank One email site.
